Softball Updates: CIFSS & NCS

Friday night’s CIF Southern Section Division II championship was set up nicely in Tuesday’s semifinals as both state No. 1 Mission Viejo and state No. 2 Yucaipa were victorious.

Preseason Softball State Ranks

We have 25 elite teams pegged in order with writeups for each, led by obvious No. 1 Mission Viejo. The Diablos weren’t obvious at No. 1 at the end of last season, but unbeaten No. 2 Amador Valley may be rebuilding.

Ms. Softball 2014: Johanna Grauer

It’s not a huge shock that the 2012 State Sophomore of the Year and the 2013 State Junior of the Year gets the numero uno position among California prep softball players this season, but nonetheless it wasn’t a slam dunk choice, either.
