This is where to check for the 30 players named second team overall plus the next 30 for the third team and 70 more top seniors from large schools who all can say they are all-state for the 2014 season.

State Passing Records Updated

As a celebration of this week’s CIF state bowl games and one quarterback in particular concluding one of the greatest careers in state history, we have posted updated single-season totals for passing yards and TD passes.

SoCal/NorCal Players of the Week

Only one is named from each region for offense, defense and special teams and we’re going to do our best to spread it around as much as possible. This week’s honors go to La Jolla, Ontario, Palm Springs, Concord, Tracy & Stockton.

NEW Bay Area 25 Football Rankings

Sacred Heart Prep and Bellarmine are now in the No. 3 and No. 4 positions after De La Salle and Clayton Valley. It’s also a good week for NCS finalist Pittsburg to go way up plus there’s the weirdness of ranking teams that played in CCS consolation games.

State Stat Stars of the Week

NorCal’s best is Woodside’s Josh Holman while SoCal honors go to Mater Dei’s Justin Allen. Others recognized for top single-game outings include Boron back with 367 yards rushing and seven more TD passes for Farmersville quarterback. Plus, team can’t believe it was flagged for 25 penalties.
