After the Chino Hills boys basketball team from 2016 made history last week with a second and third player going among the top six in the NBA Draft, we decided to look up examples from the NFL and MLB for high school teams with the most pro players on the same teams. We believe the...

Schools With The Most All-State Players

We’ve done these lists previously for boys hoops, girls hoops, baseball and softball and now we’re finishing with football. With our all-state first team selections going back to 1980 (and not earlier), that also mirrors the start of the head coaching career of Bob Ladouceur at Concord De La Salle so it shouldn’t come as […]

State Super 65: No. 11 to No. 20

This group of teams is now led by 2001 Long Beach Poly, which won its third straight CIFSS top division title and lost its only game to perhaps the greatest team in state history. Others in this group of teams include one more new team each from Mater Dei (2018) and St. John Bosco (2019)...

State Football Teams of the Year

It’s a little different this year since previously we just coronated the CIF Open Division state champion. We still have that for St. John Bosco, which is State Team of the Year for the third time, but we also are adding three more that are not simple coronations but in which two of the three […]

Saturday updates added. It seemed like a lot of the most anticipated games in Southern California since the season began took place on Friday with the headliner of course being No. 1 Mater Dei playing No. 2 St. John Bosco. The Monarchs won, but the Braves know they won in the first game between the […]
