Week 0 State Top 25 Scoreboard
Most impressive wins on Saturday were from No. 4 Mater Dei and No. 22 Helix of La Mesa. Both No. 6 Long Beach Poly (easier than expected) and No. 17 Clovis North (much closer than expected) also picked up wins. The next rankings updates will be out Monday morning.

This is the 12th preseason all-section or all-area football team we have compiled and covers schools from the entire CIF Sac-Joaquin Section from Yuba City to Merced and including Napa and Solano counties. Folsom is the heavy preseason favorite and has the most preseason all-section players as well.

Last week on the FOX 40 Final Quarter high school football show, co-hosts Jim Crandell and Kristina Werner revealed a list of the top five quarterbacks in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section for the 2014 season, according to CalHiSports.com.
