Here’s an updated and expanded version of our ranking of the all-time greatest teams in California high school softball history. State Stat Stars of the Week
We’ve all heard of perfect passers in a single game, but for running backs could the equivalent be six carries with all six going for touchdowns? One of those on this week’s honor roll did just that. We also continue to follow hard-to-fathom seasons by sophomore QB Donny Fitzgerald from Coachella Valley of Thermal (41...
Blue-Grey Combine Breakout Players
It actually was a blue-gray mix in the skies above the Blue-Grey All-American Football Combine held on Sunday at Freedom High in Oakley. Sure, it’s not the same as one of the many Nike camps we’ve been to dozens of times over the years, but you get to know the smaller group of players better […]

Narbonne and De La Salle are now up to No. 4 and No. 5 after the CIF Southern Section Division I semifinals. There’s a good chance, though, that Rancho Cucamonga will come back up and get back into the top five for the final rankings.
FB: Top 10 Rankings Update
Mission Viejo of course stays in the top 10 after having its 39-game win streak snapped by Rancho Cucamonga in CIFSS D1 playoffs. Two-time defending CIF Open Division state champ De La Salle also creeps back up to No. 6.
CIF NorCal Bowl Board No. 6
The fun part of these boards that it’s possible to run them in different combinations to see how they shape up. This week, we went back to using Bellarmine of San Jose as one of the projected three CCS Open Division champions. Next week, maybe we’ll put Sanger in the south and Bakersfield Christian in...
