All-State Football: First Team
The 36th annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams are headlined by these 30 players, chosen regardless of school size or year in school. Two juniors from CIF Open Division champion De La Salle have made the cut along with two defenders each from Long Beach Poly and Serra of Gardena.
All-State Football: 2nd, 3rd, 4th teams
This is where to check for the 30 players named second team overall plus the next 30 for the third team and 70 more top seniors from large schools who all can say they are all-state for the 2014 season.
Jake Browning: Mr. Football 2014
The Folsom QB turned in arguably the greatest season by any QB in state history, which frankly made it quite difficult to even consider anyone else. He joins the all-time state list that goes back for more than 100 years.

FB: NorCal goes 1-2 in final State 25
It ended up being a No. 1 and No. 2 sweep for Northern California in the final Cal-Hi Sports State 25 overall football rankings, which is unusual, but doesn’t match the 1-2-3-4 sweep that took place in the same final rankings for 2011.
Records wrap: Browning, Folsom
There is only one player in state history who comes close from a record-breaking standpoint to what Folsom’s QB did this season and that was a running back from Ventura in 2000.
State Passing Records Updated
As a celebration of this week’s CIF state bowl games and one quarterback in particular concluding one of the greatest careers in state history, we have posted updated single-season totals for passing yards and TD passes.
