SoCal/NorCal Players of the Week
Playing the name game, we’ve got a boy and girl this week with almost the same first name as Morgan Monashefsky of S.F. Sacred Heart and Morganne Flores of Santa Ana Mater Dei are among this week’s honorees. Our other two are from El Cajon and Lodi.
More State Boys Players of the Year
We choose honorees for seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen and for each CIF division. The most difficult was for Division IV since two of our Mr. Basketball finalists both fall into that classification. Two of this year’s winners also had to be picked twice.
Bracket Breakdowns (Open)
We went 16-for-16 in recommending teams for the NorCal and SoCal Open Division boys basketball playoffs, including Foothills Christian of El Cajon.
