Home cookin’ at Stampede
Host school Livermore brings home the title for only the second time in the 21-year history of the Livermore Stampede (one of the state’s top softball tournaments) and the first time since 2000. There were some state-ranked teams in the field, too.
Boys, Girls BB State Rank Updates
As the regional playoffs head to the semifinals, there is hardly any change for the first 10 teams in the State Top 20s, but after that there are plenty. Boys newcomers are Torrey Pines, San Mateo Serra and Sacramento while for the girls it’s Clovis West, Ventura and Dublin.

For the first time, baseball and softball players get into the stat stars act. They join some of the best from boys and girls hoops still going strong, such as Stefan Mitu of Danville Monte Vista, Aarion McDonald of Stockton Brookside Christian and Jaimoni Welch-Coleman of Berkeley.
