Ballislife All-American Game May 3
Four of the California’s best boys high school basketball players, including Mr. Basketball Stanley Johnson, scheduled to participate in the 4th Annual Ballislife All-American Game set for May 3 at Long Beach City College. Mr. Basketball USA Cliff Alexander of Chicago and five other McDonald’s All-Americans headline participants.
More State Boys Players of the Year
We choose honorees for seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen and for each CIF division. Bishop O’Dowd’s Ivan Rabb actually is on top for two classifications while for the third straight year, the frosh honoree is from the San Fernando Valley.
State Player of the Year Finalists
Several of these boys and girls were in action during Wednesday night’s McDonald’s All-American Games in Chicago. This year’s Mr. Basketball and Ms. Basketball honorees will be announced next week.

Daniel Hamilton Makes Jordan Game
Forward Daniel Hamilton of Bellflower St. John Bosco selected to Jordan Brand Classic to be played in New York April 18. Hamilton will join Mr. Basketball front-runner Stanley Johnson of Santa Ana Mater Dei and former Monarchs player Shaqquan Aaron at the prestigious event.
McDonald’s: Johnson & Welsh In
Forward Stanley Johnson from Mater Dei of Santa Ana was chosen for the 2014 McDonald’s All-American boys team. Also chosen is center Tom Welsh of Loyola (Los Angeles). Northern California is shut out on the boys’ side after having three selections last season.
