Week 5 State Rankings Updates
In the second straight week of three new teams cracking our elite state Top 25, Rancho Cucamonga is the highest and a team the Cougars beat, Bishop Amat, also gets in.
NEW State Girls VB Top 20
Torrey Pines takes over the No. 1 position with championship effort at Durango Fall Classic in Las Vegas. That tourney also forces many other changes this week with Archbishop Mitty going back up to No. 2.
Week 4 State Rankings Updates
It ended up not being as tumultuous as thought due to Alemany beating Corona Centennial and Chaminade topping Oaks Christian. Three newcomers do go in, however, with Mission Hills of San Marcos going in the highest.

Teams on the rise include Archbishop Mitty, James Logan and Terra Nova. De La Salle and Bellarmine stay Nos. 1 and 2 but after that the shakeup begins.

With huge Durango Fall Classic in Las Vegas coming up this weekend, Mater Dei grinds through tough field to win Dave Mohs tourney and takes over No. 1 state ranking. Valley Christian stays No. 2 with previous No. 1 Los Alamitos slipping down to No. 3.
