More State Boys Athletes of Year
Among those earning top state honors are Joe DeMers of College Park, Sean McGrew of St. John Bosco, Drew Anderson from Miramonte of Orinda and Nifae Lealao of Capital Christian. Anderson also gains first-ever State Three-Sport Athlete of the Year selection.
More State Schools of the Year
Archbishop Mitty and Torrey Pines continue back-and-forth duel in girls sports with Mitty getting the nod this time. Other schools ending with special honors include St. John Bosco (D2), Chaminade (D3), Central Catholic of Modesto (D4) and St. Joseph Notre Dame of Alameda (D5). Fifteen more schools also gain special mention for overall athletic excellence.
