More Girls BB State Players of Year

While Aquira DeCosta from Stockton St. Mary’s completed a four-year career that is comparable to some previous Ms. Basketball honorees, she didn’t get quite that high after her senior year. Still, she would be this year’s choice as the State Senior of the Year. We also have our other usual selections for top state honors […]

State Player of Year Finalists

To get going on this year’s selection for Mr. Basketball State Player of the Year and Ms. Basketball State Player of the Year, we decided not to give away so many of our eventual picks for first team all-state and have gone with a lower total of finalists than from years past. This year, we […]

NEW Girls BB State Top 20

There were no newcomers this week and a limited amount of movement due to a lot of teams only playing one game last week or blowing out league opponents. The biggest move got the Inland Empire a little more prestige as Etiwanda becomes a top 15 team after a solid win over La Jolla Country...

Big winners on the final day of the St. Mary’s MLK Showcase in Stockton include the host and state No. 2 Rams, state No. 13 La Jolla Country and bubble team McClatchy of Sacramento, which upset state No. 11 Sierra Canyon. State No. 5 Salesian of Richmond lost again and so did state No. 7 […]

It’s no secret the main goal of this year’s team at St. Mary’s of Stockton is to win the program’s second CIF Open Division state title. The Rams seemed to take a step in the right direction toward that goal with a 78-61 victory over Centennial of Las Vegas on Saturday in one of the […]
