Santiago of Corona loses in Tuesday game to M.L. King, which gives bumps to Esperanza, Vintage and James Logan. No. 1 teams are Pacifica of Garden Grove, Mission Viejo, Bishop Amat, Francis Parker and Redwood Christian.
New Softball State Top 20
Pacifica and Mitty move up to No. 2 and No. 3 due to Mater Dei loss while perennial NorCal power San Benito re-enters and snags the final spot.

Bishop Amat takes over in Division III with Francis Parker going to No. 1 in Division IV. Three others still No. 1 are Mater Dei, Mission Viejo and Redwood Christian.

The best teams seem to be settling in for the playoffs. Still running in the first five slots are Mission Viejo, Mater Dei, Pacifica, Archbishop Mitty and Yorba Linda. Just a slight bump for Santiago of Corona after win over Norco.

Softball State Rankings By Divisions
CIF Southern Section teams Mater Dei (D1), Mission Viejo (D2) and Burbank (D3) are joined as top-ranked teams in the state this week by Wheatland (D4) of the CIF Northern Section and unbeaten Redwood Christian (D5) of the CIF North Coast Section.
New Softball State Top 20
California of San Ramon surges up to No. 17 as state’s lone newcomer this week. Unbeaten Archbishop Mitty also gets a bump into the top five. The rest of the top group, however, is dominated by Orange County.
