FINAL Softball Ranks By Divisions

Ms. Softball State POY Finalists
Two of nine that have been chosen among the finalists for this year’s top individual award in California prep softball (an honor that goes back to the 1970s) are from the same team. Four of the nine were absolutely scintillating in last weekend’s CIF Southern Section Division I and Division II finals.
Mission Viejo: State Team of Year
Softball’s final No. 1 state ranking and the one that goes into the state record book is out and it will be going to CIF Southern Section Division II champion Mission Viejo. Go inside or more on the tough call between the Diablos and No. 2 Amador Valley.
More Softball State Teams of Year
Toughest choice ends up for Division III and the nod goes to St. Paul of Santa Fe Springs. Amador Valley (Division I), Mission Viejo (Division II), Taft (Division IV) and St. Bonaventure of Ventura (Division V) all finish on top as well.

While baseball’s race for the top will take one week longer, softball’s race will be done after next weekend. Rancho Bernardo and Mission Viejo remain in the No. 1 positions. Clovis and Vacaville are leaders in the clubhouse.
