Baseball, Softball Final State Top 20s
Following State Teams of the Year College Park of Pleasant Hill and Yucaipa, baseball’s highest risers at the end include Rancho Bernardo, JSerra, San Ysidro and Redondo. For softball, it’s Norco, Santiago of Corona, East Union and La Serna.
Yucaipa State Softball Team of Year
Season-long leader Mission Viejo has to slide to No. 2 behind the Thunderbirds in the final state rankings after losing to them 1-0 in the CIF Southern Section Division II championship. It’s the fifth time in six years that an Inland Empire team collects State Team of the Year honor.
