It shouldn’t be a surprise that St. John Bosco of Bellflower is No. 1 and De La Salle of Concord is No. 2 to start the 2014 season. The great news is that so many of the top-ranked teams are continuing to play each other early and often.

Hart of Newhall from the new CIFSS West Valley Division tops this group of teams. It’s also a group that includes several squads who should be guaranteed to be stronger this season, such as Valley Christian of San Jose, JSerra of San Juan Capistrano and Chaparral of Temecula.

Preseason FB: All-Northern Section
This is the sixth preseason all-section or all-area football team we have compiled and covers schools from the entire CIF Northern Section. Naturally, Enterprise of Redding, which has a lot of skill players back off last year’s team that won the CIF NorCal D2 bowl game, has the most honorees.
Preseason All-San Diego FB Team
This is the fifth preseason all-section or all-area football team we have compiled and covers schools from the entire CIF San Diego Section. Leading the way with four on the first team is St. Augustine and Oceanside.
Preseason All-CCS Football Team
This is the fourth preseason all-section or all-area football team we have compiled and covers those schools from the entire CIF Central Coast Section. Valley Christian of San Jose leads the way with four players selected.
