NorCal/SoCal Players of the Week
Both of this week’s boys selections got our attention for scoring 40 points in a game, one of them being a player new to California after making a name for himself in Virginia. Our four honorees hail from Atherton, Shasta Lake, Irvine and Agoura.
SoCal/NorCal Players of the Week
One of this week’s honorees is proving that there is more than just one big-time player headed to the USC women’s program. She’s also going where her older brother already plays. Other choices this week are from Los Angeles, Oakland and Richmond.

For the first time, we switch to boys and girls hoops for these honors also will take this chance to welcome big-time junior Marvin Bagley of Sierra Canyon. Bagley is this week’s SoCal Boys Player of the Week. Our other choices are going out to Stockton, Murrieta and Bakersfield.
NorCal/SoCal Players of the Week
Oakdale’s Will Semone isn’t close to the state leading rushing total of Riverside Norte Vista’s Eric Melesio, but in four playoff games he’s led the surging Mustangs by rushing for 1,162 yards. Other honored this week are from Bakersfield, Moraga, San Clemente, Harbor City and El Monte.
