No. 1 Mater Dei rolls 8-0 in Boras Baseball Classic final

Mike Haupt: State Coach of the Year

St. Augustine of San Diego boys hoops coach is first in 10 years and San Diego County’s third since 1969 to earn the honor from Cal-Hi Sports. Four other coaches honored in each CIF division.

Malik McCord: State Coach of the Year

A solid group of young coaches led by Bishop O’Dowd’s Malik McCord are honored this year, including a rare first-year head coach, two with four years experience, one with five, and the veteran of the group with seven.

McDonald’s 2013: Gordon Shines, Girls Quartet Contributes

Mitty’s Aaron Gordon caps a spectacular week by winning MVP honors at the 2013 McDonald’s All-American Game in Chicago. In the girls game, California quartet contributes 19 points and 22 rebounds to West’s victory.
