Which one of the two All-America candidates from St. Mary’s of Berkeley will emerge as that team’s leader for player of the year? Neither one, however, is in front of Windward’s Jordin Canada or Mater Dei’s Katie Lou Samuelson to be the 2013-14 Ms. Basketball State Player of the Year.

Top Girls Athlete: Chelsea Chenault

Carondelet of Concord swimmer is the 2012-13 Cal-Hi Sports Girls Athlete of the Year. She is headed to the world championships to participate alongside Olympic heroes from last summer and just completed record-breaking senior season. She’s also the second State Athlete of the Year from Carondelet in eight years.
