Narbonne and De La Salle are now up to No. 4 and No. 5 after the CIF Southern Section Division I semifinals. There’s a good chance, though, that Rancho Cucamonga will come back up and get back into the top five for the final rankings.

FB: Sac-Joaquin Section Top 25 (12)
Inderkum proves that the preseason rankings were right all along after big win over previously unbeaten Antelope in D2 semifinals. Defending D2AA state champ Del Oro is next. In the D1 bracket, meanwhile, top two seeds St. Mary’s and Folsom both roll in the semifinals to set up what should be great matchup in section final Saturday at Sac State.

Mission Viejo of course stays in the top 10 after having its 39-game win streak snapped by Rancho Cucamonga in CIFSS D1 playoffs. Two-time defending CIF Open Division state champ De La Salle also creeps back up to No. 6.

FB: Sac-Joaquin Section Top 25 (11)
This is a week when teams that have been held back in the rankings for having a key head-to-head loss can come roaring in, especially if they’re still going in the semifinal round of the playoffs. Inderkum’s win over Sacramento and Capital Christian’s win over Sonora were the biggest shockers, but Merced’s win over Del Campo also was big.
