In November, we will begin the release of our preseason 2021-22 Cal-Hi Sports boys basketball state rankings. As a preview to how things could shake out, here is a list of the major 2021-22 tournaments and classics involving California teams that figure to be ranked. Of course, the timetable for these events and this year’s CIF calendar will be dependent on how much COVID-19 affects the fall sports season and if the winter calendar is delayed for the second straight school year. The 2021-22 season officially begins November 15. The CIF state basketball championships are scheduled to take place March 11-12, 2022.
