We took in all the sessions of the 2014 Pangos All-West Frosh/Soph Camp at Cerritos (Calif.) College over the weekend and broke down our notes and evaluations to rank the top forty players in attendance.

No. 1 Bosco Goes Down in Vegas

Comeback bid for state No. 1 St. John Bosco of Bellflower comes up just short in 34-31 road loss to Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas. Gaels’ victory could mean there will be a new No. 1 team in the state next week, but importance of game won’t be known for weeks to come.

Honor Bowl: Saturday Recap

Serra of Gardena can’t do much against national powerhouse Bellevue of Washington and falls in the final game of a tripleheader played Saturday at Oceanside’s Simcox Field. The earlier games were closer, however, as Cathedral Catholic topped Oaks Christian and Corona Centennial outlasted Orange Lutheran.

Cali Connections Lead Gorman

Leading state No. 3 Servite of Anaheim by a point near the end of the second quarter, visiting Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas sparked to victory by backup QB from San Diego County. Nation’s No. 1 team (by USA Today) gets huge contributions from multiple California natives in marquee Week 0 matchup at Cerritos College.
