Tahjee Williams (McClymonds, Oakland)

Marie Bertholdt (Alameda)
Bertholdt more than held her own on the free throw line, and she had to the way she was getting fouled in a 68-53 win over San Lorenzo Arroyo. The hacking didn’t work because despite only hitting one field goal, the 6-foot-1 senior was 20 of 26 from the line and finished with a double-double 22 points and 18 rebounds, with six blocks and five steals.
Sierra Campisano (Torrey Pines, San Diego)
This 6-foot-2 freshman is off to a great start for her high school career. Campisano opened it up on November 29 with a 74-46 victory for the Falcons against Ramona. Alex Iwatani (Mission San Jose, Fremont)
The girls’ golf and badminton teams always excel at Mission San Jose, and the hoops team is pretty good as well after Iwatani has helped lead the team to a 3-1 start this season. Last week in a 56-41 win over Milpitas, the senior co-captain was 7-of-8 from beyond the arc and finished with 29 points.

FOOTBALL
Jamie Gomez (Madison, San Diego)
The senior linebacker scored Madison’s lone offensive touchdown on a 4-yard run and came up with two interceptions on defense — one he returned for a score, the other he snagged in the end zone – to help the Warhawks defeat Monrovia 21-17 in the CIF Division III Southern California regional championship.
Austin Hooper (De La Salle, Concord)
The defense of Sparta stuffed the high-powered offense of Folsom in the CIF Open Division NorCal bowl game 49-15 victory, and it was this 6-foot-4, 247-pound defensive end with 17 Division I college offers that led the onslaught. Of the Spartans’ six sacks of Folsom quarterback Jake Browning, who came into the game only having been sacked nine times, Hooper had three. He also batted down a pass, had five total tackles, and from his tight end position on offense he caught two passes for 100 yards. Both receptions set up short De La Salle touchdown runs.
Erika Linch (Sutter)
Her extra point in the 23-7 loss to Marin Catholic in the CIF Division III Northern California regional final at Oroville made her the first girl to ever take the field let alone the first to score in CIF bowl game competition. She finished the season with 62 PATs and four field goals, including a 31-yarder, and a 28-yarder (and five PATs) three weeks ago in a 38-31 CIF Northern Section Division II victory over Cottonwood West Valley.
