All-State Football 2023: Sophomores

Welcome to the first selections for the 45th annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. We may not be the granddaddy of them all (copyright Rose Bowl) but we’re pretty sure there’s been some grandpas who we’ve chosen in the past for these teams. We begin with a look at those getting first & second team honors among sophomores. Including an expanded third team, St. John Bosco, Mission Viejo and Archbishop Riordan of San Francisco lead the way with four honorees each. One of the schools with three already has been hit hard by transfers leaving.
