With many teams on byes and others playing opponents that didn’t have much of a chance, there isn’t much movement this week among those that have been in these rankings. For medium, Pacifica of Oxnard remains No. 1 with the only newcomer being El Cerrito. For small, No. 1 Escalon and No. 3 Hughson are playing Friday in one of the state’s top games including large schools. There are two new teams appearing in small schools, including one for the first time in its new school’s history. Also on the small school bubble: Fall River’s 33-game (on-the-field) win streak is snapped.
