Final end-of-season state rankings by divisions for boys basketball also goes back nearly 40 years. It’s just the number of divisions and formats that have changed. We remain committed to doing them no matter how complicated the CIF continues to make its playoffs. With these rankings needing to match the final, expanded overall State TOP 40 Rankings, there have been some teams shuffled up and down. Among those getting bumps at the end are San Ramon Valley of Danville (D1), Oxnard & La Mirada (D2), Justin-Siena of Napa (D3), San Pedro (D4) and North of Torrance (D5).

Note: This is a post for Gold Club members only on CalHiSports.com. All final state rankings in all sports for all years are available only to our Gold Club members as well as our state stat star of the week honor rolls. Note: These rankings are based on the usual factors of schedule strength, head-to-head wins and results from the first three rounds of the regional playoffs. We can’t obviously do division rankings until after the CIF announces regional brackets since no one knows which divisions to put any of the teams in. We also like to do these rankings since the upcoming divisional all-state teams will be based on these same divisions.
