Scrambling to get state rankings done after the MLK weekend has always been a challenge, and in fact there were a slew of games on MLK Day on Monday that were impactful. The CIF Southern Section did pick up a couple of teams by snagging this week’s two of this week’s newcomers, both from Los Angeles and the Gold Coast League, who also happened to have played each other on Tuesday night. Another Tuesday result we squeezed in resulted in San Ramon Valley of Danville also going in. La Jolla Country Day also has flipped with Etiwanda for the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
