Unfortunately, due to the difficulty of many competitive equity based section playoff brackets, we already have some very good teams that are likely going to finish in the final State TOP 50 who have lost to other highly ranked teams and seasons are complete. Partly due to that, there are three new teams this week — Chaparral of Temecula, Buchanan of Clovis (returning) and Salinas (also returning). Teams with the biggest bumps with big games seemingly up ahead include Central Catholic of Modesto, Citrus Valley of Redlands and Corona del Mar of Newport Beach.
