This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. For this first week of football, in addition to the two player of the week honorees who gained state record listings, we have one team in the records that gladly saw its total stopped since it was Lompoc Cabrillo with a 35-game losing streak. Two Cabrillo players are stat stars this week, plus we have a 474-yard passing QB, a 100-yard fumble return TD, a 10-for-10 perfect passing game and a 41-yard game-winning field goal by one of the best kickers in the state.
