Last week on the FOX 40 Final Quarter high school football show, hosts Jim Crandell and Kristina Werner revealed a list of the top five wide receivers/tight ends this fall in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section, according to CalHiSports.com.
This is the sixth season that CalHiSports.com and FOX 40 have partnered together to have these SJS Top 5 lists as part of the station’s weekly high school football highlights show. Tune in on Fridays at 10:30 for the Game of the Week, top four plays and more. The top 5 list from last week’s show is later revealed on our site. For the top 5 list for this week, it will be the top five offensive linemen. Check out the show to see those names revealed.
5. Jared Wiley (Christian Brothers, Sacramento)
Just a junior, the son of Falcons’ head coach John Wily caught 31 passes in the spring for 587 yards.
4. Carlos Wilson (Inderkum, Sacramento)
One of the top junior WR/DB recruits in Northern California, Carlos has 12 reported D1 offers. He had 32 catches for 423 yards and five TDs during the recent spring season.
3. Walker Lyons (Folsom)
He’s one of the top tight ends among juniors not just in the state but for the nation. One of the schools he has an offer from is Alabama.
2. Rico Flores Jr. (Folsom)
Known as ‘Lil Reek, Flores Jr. is as dynamic as they get for a receiver. He’s the other junior at Folsom with an offer from Alabama.
1. Jadyn Marshall (St. Mary’s, Stockton)
Based on his accomplishments as a track and field hurdler combined with football, Marshall was considered one of five finalists to be State Athlete of the Year for the 2020-21 school year. He has committed to UCLA where he plans to compete in both sports.
