Last week on the FOX 40 Final Quarter high school football show, hosts Jim Crandell and Kristina Werner revealed a list of the top five running backs this fall in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section, according to CalHiSports.com.
This is the sixth season that CalHiSports.com and FOX 40 have partnered together to have these SJS Top 5 lists as part of the station’s weekly high school football highlights show. Tune in on Fridays at 10:30 for the Game of the Week, top four plays and more. The top 5 list from last week’s show is later revealed on our site. For the top 5 list for this week, it will be the top five wide receivers/tight ends. Check out the show to see those names revealed.
5. Jabari Phillips (Golden Valley, Merced)
This three-year standout rushed for 235 yards in his first game two weeks ago.
4. Darian Leon-Guerrero (Vacaville)
He scored 15 TDs in 5 games in the spring and had 162 yards in first game. Vacaville also is now sitting inside the state top 50 rankings.
3. Zeke Barnett (Elk Grove)
The top junior in the section, Zeke has offers from Colorado, Nevada & more.
2. D.J. Crowther (Christian Brothers)
He has offers from Army, Cal Poly SLO and more coming after he scored 12 TDs in six spring games.
1. Jonah Coleman (Lincoln, Stockton)
He had amazing TD run in opening loss to Edison and has had many more since sophomore season. Jonah has committed to Arizona.
