Over the first weeks of these rankings, we’ve tried to be fair since this spring season is an anomaly in more than one way. Not only did it start when it should have ended, the CIF relaxing its bylaws to allow for club and high school competition to go on simultaneously has caused many of the top girls on the top teams in the state to miss games due club-related injuries, club-related events and missing games due to COVID protocols with club-related issues. This past week we only had one change in the top 10 and one newcomer, but look for a potential shakeup once the section playoffs start in the Southern Region and some possible newcomers that are knocking on the door and should come in once the playoffs start.
