With the World Series tied at 2-2, we thought it became the perfect day to complete this presentation. California remains one of the world leaders in baseball and the decade of the 2010s provided more examples, especially with all of the No. 1 overall picks in the MLB Draft. For this All-Decade, All-State Team we have two schools that lead the way with three on the first team — Mater Dei (Santa Ana) and Elk Grove. People forget that early in the 2010s that perhaps one of the two leading sports at MD besides boys basketball was baseball and not football and the Monarchs had two State Players of the Year in those years. Elk Grove was more of a powerhouse in Northern California throughout the decade and we don’t think it will be long until the Thundering Herd are near the top or at the top for schools with the most players in the major leagues.

We think that this presentation alone would be worth a one-month subscription, but we also will have more all-state all-decade teams coming out in other sports over the next few weeks. And in the spring, we’ll have all of our usual softball features (some Gold Club, some free). To sign up today, CLICK HERE.
