After not being able to be chosen all-state freshman or all-state sophomore due to injuries, Te-hina Paopao of La Jolla Country Day certainly played enough games and showed some of what she can do (still probably wasn’t 100 percent) to get onto this year’s all-state team for juniors. Several days after starting the boys all-state team selections, we’re going to begin with the girls. This is the 40th annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Girls Basketball Teams and it starts with a look at the best of the best among juniors, sophomore and freshmen. It’s not a recruiting list so keep that in mind while going through the names. This post also will be for Gold Club members only. The post for all-state teams according to CIF divisions will be free and will be out in a few days. Schools that landed multiple players on the all-state underclass squads are led by Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth and Miramonte of Orinda with three. Among those with two are Rosary of Fullerton, St. Joseph Notre Dame of Alameda, Bear Creek & St. Mary’s of Stockton, Clovis North of Fresno, La Jolla Country Day and St. Mary’s Academy of Inglewood.
