Teams that lost to eventual CIF state champions tend to do well in the final rankings and that is the case this season for Pittsburg, Corona del Mar, Villa Park and Cardinal Newman, who all get moved up this week. State champions Menlo-Atherton (No. 41) and Wilcox of Santa Clara (No. 43) also are in the final group of teams. In addition, we have a new team at No. 50 that hasn’t been in the State Top 50 all season. All 50 teams written up, plus 10 more teams ranked in order, and we have a look at next season included in many of those writeups.
