The only thing that ended up slowing down the incredible surge of passing yards and touchdowns from sophomore Donny Fitzgerald from Coachella Valley of Thermal was the offense at Chaffey of Ontario, which simply outscored the Arabs 57-56 in their game last week that ended Donny’s season. Fitzgerald, who has thrown for eight TDs three times this season, also has been joined on the list of those who have thrown for eight TDs more than once. Jaedyn Pineda of Visalia Mt. Whitney did it for the second time for him last week. Special mention also needs to go out to Santa Clara’s Nick Garcia, who accounted for all 50 of his team’s points in a win.
