It’s wacko Tuesday in the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs since two teams that have been near the very top of the state and national rankings all season — Los Alamitos and Orange Lutheran — both were eliminated in upsets. Nothing is that stunning in that bracket, but of course causes a lot of change in this week’s rankings. Los Altos and Mater Dei are now in the top five, Foothill of Pleasanton and Huntington Beach are now in the top 10 while Great Oak of Temecula and Freedom of Oakley are newcomers.
