Girls BB: Divisional All-State 2018

Rachel Bowers from Canyon of Canyon Country (left) and Kayla Tahaafe from Eastside Prep of East Palo Alto are both on this year’s all-state team for the combined Open Division and Division I. Bowers will play next at Boise State. Tahaafe made the D1/Open squad after being the player of the year twice in Division V. Photos: Santa Clarita Signal / signalscv.com & SportStarsMag.com.

The announcement of honorees for the 39th annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Teams in girls basketball continues with the breakdown of players from schools placed in divisions according to the CIF state and regional playoffs. Competitive equity seeding has made determining which division to place each player even more complicated. In short, they aren’t the same as section divisions in some cases. If a player’s team didn’t get to the regional playoffs, we went with the division her team would have played in.
