NEW CIF Sac-Joaquin Sec Top 20

Once again, since the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section is the one for our home base in Stockton, we’ll put together a weekly Top 20 for that section this season. Watch the FOX40 Final Quarter on Fridays at 11 p.m. for all the highlights and to see our latest SJS Top 5 List.

Big Games This Week (involving both teams from the section): Folsom at Granite Bay; Rocklin at Oak Ridge; Elk Grove at Grant; Franklin at Sheldon.

Note of the Week: Bradshaw Christian of Sacramento scored what we believe is a state single game high so far for this season when it beat San Juan of Fair Oaks 85-14 last Friday. The Pride led 64-14 at halftime. The SJS has actually led the state a few times in that category recently, including Sac High with 85 in a playoff game just two years ago against McNair of Stockton. Grant and St. Mary’s both had 85 in 2009 in single games while in 2008 the Pacers beat McClatchy one night 89-0.

Folsom and Oakdale score was 45-29… NOT 49-28…Folsom won by 16pts, NOT 21pts. Just thought I would clarify!!
