After its big wins over Mater Dei and Mission Viejo, Grand Terrace gets to jump way up to No. 5 in this week’s rankings. It’s also now Orange Lutheran into third with four of the top five positions going to teams playing each other in the CIF Southern Section Division I semifinals. Sheldon of Sacramento also moves up to No. 4 while two more big newcomers are Cathedral Catholic of San Diego and James Logan of Union City, two teams guided by former State Coaches of the Year.
