If the Open Division continues having 16 teams in the future, it’s going to be routine for just about all of the 16 teams to remain in the rankings even after eight of them get knocked out in the opening round of the regional playoffs. For this year’s group, 14 of the 16 Open Division teams were in the rankings last week and this week 15 have found a spot with the addition of Bishop’s after that team’s big win over Harvard-Westlake.
