This is a week when the eyes and mind and ability to analyze makes human rankings the far superior kind when you have nuances. On example is Stockton St. Mary’s beating teams at full strength and then being decimated by injuries and dropping completely out after being national top five to start the season. Another situation is a D1 player out with a minor injury and missing a game against a ranked team and her team loses. The computer doesn’t know about any of this or see eight of the top 10 teams live as the Cal-Hi Sports Caravan has done this season. This week’s only newcomer is Ventura and S.F. Sacred Heart Cathedral also rejoins the top 10.
