With the first six slots seemingly locked in for awhile, there are two teams that this week have moved up into the Super 8 echelon of this week’s rankings — new No. 7 Alemany of Mission Hills and new No. 8 Roosevelt of Eastvale.
NOTE: Our updated State Top 20 with lists of many other teams on the bubble will be posted each week but will require Gold Club membership to see for the rest of the season. Our breakdowns and analysis of what’s coming up and what’s already happened can’t be matched anywhere else because we’ve been following the statewide scene years and years longer than any other media source. 2. (2) Chino Hills 23-0
The Huskies cracked the 100-point mark in all three wins last week and now have 58-game winning streak. That streak will get big-time test Saturday at Nike Extravaganza vs. Oak Hill Academy.

Showcase game at State Preview Classic was no trouble for the Huskies as they blew out previous No. 8 L.A. Fairfax 79-55 behind 26 points from Ethan Thompson.
4. (4) Mater Dei (Santa Ana) 23-1
Monarchs will play Village Christian (Sun Valley) and state No. 10 St. Augustine (San Diego) in its two games at this weekend’s Nike Extravaganza. A loss to either would be big upset.

7. (10) Alemany (Mission Hills) 19-3

With Foothills Christian, Fairfax and Damien dropping, the Mustangs get a big bump this week after their third win this season against league rival Corona Centennial.
