Redondo, Davis and Orange Lutheran all lose once last week, but there’s a big difference when a team loses once in a three-game series vs. one that just loses a game. That’s why Orange Lutheran was moved to No. 2 this week behind No. 1 Buchanan, which didn’t lose last week at all. This week’s two newcomers are Santa Margarita and Murrieta Mesa.

1. (1) BUCHANAN (CLOVIS) 21-1
In recent weeks, the Bears have been automatic when Grant Gambrell has pitched. Last week, however, they got shutouts behind Gambrell as well as Hunter Reinke. Gambrell pitched six shutout innings with one hit allowed and five strikeouts in a 6-0 victory vs. Clovis East. Reinke then pitched a one-hitter in a complete-game 4-0 shutout of the same team. Chris Lopez also went 2-for-2 with an RBI double in the first game of the week. Buchanan, which is now getting No. 1 votes in some national polls, plays Clovis West of Fresno twice in this week’s games.
