One new player added to board is senior Sean Gilmore (left) of San Francisco University, who set school records for blocked shots and averaged nearly 15 ppg. Cassius Stanley (right) of Harvard-Westlake already was on the list. He's one of the state's top freshmen. Photos: Willie Eashman.

The 38th annual Cal-Hi Sports all-state boys basketball teams are about to be selected in the next few days and here is an updated list of those currently on our board. This version includes the addition of approximately 50 players plus corrections and new photos. Thanks to all who sent in nominations after the first initial list. It’s also not too late to send in any additional comments/nominations. It’s only too late after we hit “Publish” on the actual post.

This is a Gold Club post. Some actual all-state team posts will be Gold Club as well, including all-state underclass (juniors, sophs, frosh). Please help us out today by becoming a member of our Gold Club so you can see all of our great content. What We’re Looking For: You can send a nomination with each athlete’s height, position, year in school, significant statistics. Comparing a player not on the board yet to one who already is can be very important toward eventual selection. Limit each nomination to one page please. Send to: markjtennis@gmail.com or call (209) 608-1317 (that is the cell for editor Mark Tennis).

Also, be aware that not all freshmen, sophomores or juniors we are considering for all-state underclass may be on this list. We know that a freshman or sophomore who may be a sixth player off the bench at a state-ranked school is probably a better player than some other nominees. But we also can’t list six or seven players off of any one team, either. The list would just get to be too long.
