Final Look: Class of ’16 Player Ranks

After the Class of 2015 was dominated by quarterbacks, for the Class of 2016 it was the wide receivers. It also ended up as a virtual tie (although we don’t have ties) as to which player should be viewed as the state’s top prospect overall.

In a California football recruiting class that was loaded with ultra-talented wideouts, it still was a pair of defenders who played at high schools less than five miles apart who were locked into a debate about which one should be the state’s highest-ranked prospect.
