Many longtime followers of Cal-Hi Sports and this web site know that directing national rankings programs for Student Sports, ESPN, FOX and others was part of our job for many years in addition to the statewide coverage.
One of the people we worked with for most of that time was Brentt Eads. We both had various titles over a nearly 20-year span of being with Student Sports and ESPN, but the one that Brentt perhaps enjoyed most of all was launching the StudentSportsSoftball.com web site and interacting with some of the top players and coaches in softball from around the country.
This season, as we continue to build the Cal-Hi Sports business no longer as part of Student Sports, Brentt is effectively doing the same with FullCountSoftball.com, a new national softball website.
Since Brentt has always wanted to include the FAB 50 national rankings in a national softball site and we at Cal-Hi Sports have always wanted to continue to promote/build and compile national rankings as much as possible, especially the FAB 50 brand, it is being announced today that Cal-Hi Sports and FullCountSoftball.com will be partnering together for FAB 50 national softball rankings during the 2015 season.
The FAB 50 rankings, which were coined by that name during the 1999-2000 school year, will appear for approximately 12 weeks this season on the FullCountSoftball.com site. The preseason FAB 50 is being compiled this week and will be released next week in conjunction with our own Cal-Hi Sports preseason State Top 20.
Coaches, parents and/or fans reading this post are welcome to send any comments or recommendations about teams that should be ranked in either the FAB 50 or the Cal-Hi Sports State Top 20. Send info to markjtennis@gmail.com.
Brentt Eads’ FullCountSoftball.com site is national, but since he is based in Huntington Beach it is jam-packed with California girls and focuses on the travel ball scene. Please visit the site today to check it out.
