No. 1 St. John Bosco sees season end in loss to No. 4 Centennial on Saturday while No. 2 De La Salle and No. 3 Folsom roll. The biggest winners on Friday were No. 6 Grant and No. 13 Edison of Fresno. Sacred Heart Prep of Atherton also completed 13-0 season and showed small schools everywhere how it’s done taking down more well-established programs.
Here is a look at scores through Saturday night, Dec. 6. Note that these are scores of how last week’s top-ranked teams fared and are not new rankings. 1. ST. JOHN BOSCO (BELLFLOWER) 12-2
Lost on Saturday at Anaheim Stadium to No. 4 Centennial (Corona) 48-41 in CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division championship. Bosco was trying for its second straight title and had streak of 28 straight wins vs. California teams ended. For recap, CLICK HERE.
2. DE LA SALLE (CONCORD) 13-0
It was a typical DLS final in the CIF North Coast Section on Saturday vs. Pittsburg as the Spartans blanked the Pirates 35-0. DLS will now play in its ninth straight CIF state bowl game. Yes, if the bowl games had been around for 23 years, DLS would have been in them all 23 years.
3. FOLSOM 14-0
Rolled on Saturday to 55-7 win over Tracy at Sacramento State in CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I final. QB Jake Browning also broke national career TD pass record with his 220th.
4. CENTENNIAL (CORONA) 12-2
Given the close scores that No. 1 St. John Bosco has had this year, Saturday’s 48-41 win in the CIFSS Pac-5 final wasn’t a big shocker. For recap, CLICK HERE.
5. OCEANSIDE 12-0
Played Saturday vs. No. 21 Helix (La Mesa) in the CIF San Diego Section Open Division final and won 20-13. It was the Pirates’ first Open Division title.
6. GRANT (SACRAMENTO) 14-0
It came down to the final seconds as the Pacers’ defense came up with a goal line stand late to defeat No. 19 St. Mary’s of Stockton 21-14 in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division II championship game at Sacramento State. Donovan Brown sneaked in a one-yard touchdown on 4th and goal with 1:53 to go for the winning points. Grant came from behind for the win after trailing 14-7 when the Rams returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a score. Also at one point during Grant’s game-winning drive, the Pacers had 2nd and 36 from their own 7-yard line.

9. JSERRA (SJ CAPISTRANO) 10-2*
Season complete. Lost to No. 8 Bishop Amat in CIFSS Pac-5 quarterfinals.
10. MATER DEI (SANTA ANA) 9-3*
Season complete. Lost to No. 7 Long Beach Poly in the CIFSS Pac-5 quarterfinals.
11. SERRA (GARDENA) 8-3*
Season complete. Lost to No. 4 Centennial of Corona 68-64 in CIFSS Pac-5 playoffs.
12. CRESPI (ENCINO) 9-2*
Season complete. Lost to No. 7 Long Beach Poly 44-27 in CIFSS Pac-5 quarterfinals.
13. EDISON (FRESNO) 12-1
Defeated No. 22 Liberty (Bakersfield) 21-14 in CIF Central Section Division I final. Tigers won first section title in largest class in 39 years. They go into Sunday’s selection meeting for the CIF bowl games with just one loss by one point and seem to be in good shape to likely earn bid opposite San Diego Open Division champ. Since Oceanside won, Tigers are likely traveling. Kamron Lewis caught a 63-yard TD pass from Hunter Swearingen with 6:03 left and later stopped Liberty with an interception.
14. MISSION VIEJO 12-2
Won on Saturday vs. No. 24 Vista Murrieta (Murrieta) 21-10 in CIFSS West Valley Division final at Anaheim Stadium. For recap, CLICK HERE
15. WESTLAKE (WESTLAKE VILLAGE) 8-3*
Season complete. Lost to No. 10 Mater Dei of Santa Ana in CIFSS Pac-5 Division playoffs.
16. CLAYTON VALLEY (CONCORD) 14-0
Miles Harrison had 200 yards rushing by halftime as the Ugly Eagles got nasty in the CIF North Coast Section Division II final and beat Concord 33-7. It was just a 48-40 for Clayton Valley when the two played earlier. We watched Redlands East Valley vs. Riverside Poly on Friday and a Clayton Valley-REV D2 state bowl game seems like it will end up happening and would be a great matchup.
17. SANTA MARGARITA (RANCHO SM) 6-5*
Season complete. CIFSS Pac-5 Division playoffs.
18. SACRED HEART PREP (ATHERTON) 13-0
After a scoreless first half, the Gators got two touchdowns from Ben Burr-Kirven to complete picture-perfect long scoring drives and went on to beat No. 23 Bellarmine Prep of San Jose 14-0 in the CCS Open Division championship game. Burr-Kirven scored on a three-yard run in the third quarter and then on a two-yard run midway through the fourth quarter. With Grant also finishing unbeaten on Friday and Folsom likely doing the same on Saturday, SHP isn’t likely to be playing in the CIF bowl games this season. It sounds like winning the CCS Open is going to be plenty and huge for the program.
19. ST. MARY’S (STOCKTON) 12-2
The Rams had their chances to pull off the upset win over No. 6 Grant in the SJS D2 final, especially after Demetrius Ferguson returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a touchdown and a 14-7 lead. The Pacers still came back for two scores and took a 21-14 win. With the game tied at 14-14, the Rams had a fourth and goal from the one yard line stopped and despite allowing a late touchdown to fall behind they quickly drove down and had a first and goal with an opportunity to tie things up before eventually turning it over on downs.
20. EL CAPITAN (LAKESIDE) 13-0
Defeated Rancho Bernardo (San Diego) 14-7 in CIF San Diego Section Division II final. The Vaqueros trailed 7-0 early and didn’t allow a score for the rest of the game.
21. HELIX (LA MESA) 10-3
Lost on Saturday to No. 5 Oceanside 20-13 in San Diego Section Open Division final.
22. LIBERTY (BAKERSFIELD) 10-3
Lost to No. 13 Edison (Fresno) 21-14 in CIF Central Section Division I championship. Anthony Mariscal rushed for a TD with 10:05 left to tie the score, but Patriots couldn’t answer an Edison score with 6:03 left.
23. BELLARMINE (SAN JOSE) 10-3
The Bells had a touchdown taken off the board from a penalty in the first half and while their defense played solid it wasn’t enough as they lost to No. 18 Sacred Heart Prep of Atherton 14-0 in the CCS Open Division championship game. Bellarmine played in its fifth CCS Open championship game in the division’s history and are now 3-2 during those five appearances.
24. VISTA MURRIETA (MURRIETA) 11-3
Coach Coley Candaele’s team couldn’t get much going on offense in a 21-10 loss to No. 14 Mission Viejo on Saturday in the CIFSS West Valley Division championship.

Where us Grant going to be in regionals ? Against Folsom or D-II ?
Grant will be D1 for regionals and going to probably play Folsom next week.
Where does Campolindo go next?
Campo is not going anywhere. Playing close to home against Sutter or Aptos.
