FINAL Boys BB State TOP 40 Rankings

Senior Anthony Moore and his teammates at Lincoln of Stockton had the crowd rocking during the CIF D1 state championship vs Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth last week. The near-upset has boosted both the Trojans and Modesto Christian for this year’s final state rankings. Photo: Sam Stringer.

As is another of our traditions, we present our expanded, final State TOP 40 overall boys basketball team rankings for the 2024-25 season. There is some movement from our previous weekly Top 30 update, as Stockton Lincoln’s performance in the CIF D1 state title game against No. 7 Sierra Canyon causes NorCal teams to jump up and creates a few other changes. Teams from the loaded CIF Southern Section D1 playoffs that didn’t make the regional playoffs deserve to move back up over some NorCal and SoCal D1 teams. Now that all the games have been played, the D2 teams this year didn’t really come close to cracking the final TOP 40 rankings.
