We do this week’s State Top 30 boys basketball rankings thinking about all those affected by the devastating SoCal wildfires. A handful of games were canceled and some won’t be played this week, but a vast majority of SoCal teams play on. Mater Dei of Santa Ana is back in the Top 20 after one week out for the first time in 27 years with a big win over previous No. 2 St. John Bosco. Fellow Trinity League member Santa Margarita is up nine spots with most of the Top 20 winning its games. Note that next week’s rankings updates will be done AFTER the MLK Monday slate of games on Tuesday instead of Monday.
